Care for your
handmade rugs

Our rugs are high quality and usually last a lifetime, especially with proper care. Different materials, constructions and piles will need different care. In general, always use a low suction setting and avoid the brush with bristles.

High Traffic
Ideal for entryways, hallways, stairs, family rooms, and kitchens. These rugs work well in rooms with considerable traffic and are designed for daily wear. Suited for homes with children and pets.

Medium Traffic
Ideal for dining rooms, children's bedrooms and home offices. These rugs work well in rooms with moderate traffic but are not the primary thoroughfares of the home.

Low Traffic
Ideal for formal living rooms, master bedrooms, guest bedrooms and nurseries. These rugs work well in rooms with less traffic where luxe fibers will live beautifully.

Keep the rug open for 1–2 days to remove creases from folding. Rotate every 3 months to prevent uneven wear. Clip loose yarn instead of pulling. Vacuum in one direction with suction only — no bristles — to reduce shedding. Spot clean with a damp cloth and plain water; avoid soap or cleaning products.

Silk & Silk Blend Rugs

Rotate the rug every 3 months to prevent uneven fading and wear. Vacuum with suction only — no bristles. Trim, don’t pull, loose threads. Blot stains immediately with a clean, undyed cloth. For deep cleaning, use a professional service; avoid dry cleaning.
